Hippopotamus
Hippopotamuses are one of the largest existing mammals in the world. The hippopotamus is semi-aquatic mammal that inhabits lakes and rivers in sub-Saharan Africa in groups of 5-30 hippos.
Throughout the day they stay cool by staying in the water or mud. Reproduction and childbirth both take place in the water, where territorial bulls have control over an extension of river. They surface at early evening to graze on grass. While hippos rest near each other in territories in the water, grazing is a companionless action and hippos are not territorial on land.
The range of hippopotamus sizes overlaps with the range of the White Rhinoceros. With the use of dissimilar metrics makes it undecided which is the biggest land animal after elephants. Even though they are colossal animals, hippopotamuses can run faster than any human can on land.
